Eric's Quadracycle

(Posted 7/24/05)

Eric's latest creation is the quadracycle.

It's kind of like two recumbant bicycles welded together.

Or, a paddleboat on wheels.

The steering is centralized, so that either rider can steer the contraption.

In its first incarnation, the front wheels could be turned so that they were perpendicular to the direction of travel.

This resulted in some bent wheels.

This feature has been fixed in version 2.0

Each of the seats is idividually ajustable for a riders leg length.

And each rider has his/her own shifters and brakes.

The quadracycle works on dirty alleyways,

or the beautiful paved streets of Denver.

It gets up to 25-30 m.p.h. pretty easily.
